My name is Marius, I'm Romanian and my fiance is Peruvian. We met in 2019 when we worked on a Cruise Line. We planned after the end of our last contract to spend our vacation together and planned our marriage but with this pandemic we had to change our plans. We have been far away since April 19. Our countries closed the borders and we had to wait until the restrictions get down.

First we thought about travel to a third country like Croatia that allows all citizens Non European but the cases increased every day in Europe and after some days trying and trying to find the safest way I decided to fly to Peru. Peru opened the borders for all citizens the only thing you need was a health declaration and Negative Molecular Covid test. I had almost a 48 hours trip, I changed 4 times the flight but all the trip was so smooth, no problems to go to Perú and was the best decision for us, after 6 months and a half finally we hug each other. And we are planning our marriage!!!

It's sad for many couples that some European countries still have travel bans for third countries citizens instead of following the EU Commission recommendation to help the couples to reunite again. Now in 2020 you still need a marriage certificate to be considered a family member if not authorities don't allow you to enter in the country.
