Ivonne and Vidar
Argentina to Germany
Buenos Aires. Amsterdam.
I started my trip on Saturday 11 October. A 9 hours taxi ride from Córdoba, Argentina to Buenos Aires. At the airport I had a layover of 13 hours. Before boarding I was asked for the papers. The most important ones were the letter of invitation (which I had in three languages) and my partner's passport. After a 13 hours flight, I arrived in Amsterdam (6 hours layover). There they asked me again for my papers. In this case, they check my whole binder. I had photos proving our long-term relationship (we are together since 2014), plane tickets of previous visits to Germany, health insurance, joint bank account, etc. It was the most stressful moment. But everything was ok. I took a plane to Dresden, arrived after 2 hours with my heart beating faster than ever. My boyfriend was waiting for me. We were separated only for three months but it seemed an eternity! Finally we drove home for an hour.
